Cryotherapy & Plasma Treatment
Blemish Removal
Blemish Removal treatments are designed to safely and effectively reduce or remove a range of benign, cosmetic skin lesions that are no longer treated on the NHS. These may include concerns such as skin tags, milia, cherry angiomas and other non‑harmful irregularities that clients often wish to improve for comfort or confidence.

At Wildflowers Beauty, two advanced methods may be used depending on the type, size and age of the lesion: Cryotherapy or Plasma Pen.

The Process
Unwanted benign skin lesions are no longer treated on the NHS. They can be treated via private dermatologists or highly qualified beauty therapists/aesthetic practitioners. For more details please read this blog piece.

Cryotherapy pen
A cryotherapy pen delivers a precise application of extreme cold to the targeted area. This creates a controlled freeze–thaw response that damages the unwanted tissue. After treatment, the body naturally sheds the dead cells over time.

Plasma pen
A plasma device uses a sterile, disposable probe to create a tiny, controlled arc of energy at the skin’s surface. This cauterises the lesion, allowing it to dry and lift away as the skin heals. A faint burning smell during treatment is normal and expected.

The Consultation
Every blemish removal journey begins with a thorough consultation. This allows me to:
-
Understand the history of your skin lesion
-
Review your medical background to ensure treatment suitability
-
Examine the lesion(s) and determine the safest, most effective method
-
Discuss how many sessions may be required
-
Explain the procedure, preparation and aftercare
-
Agree on pricing based on the size, type and complexity of the lesion
Because skin lesions vary greatly, a consultation is essential before treatment can be carried out.
